MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited (“MDS-Lancet” or the “Company”) was formed as a result of a joint venture between Quest Healthcare Limited of Ghana, and Lancet Laboratories (Services Company (Pty) Limited in South Africa).

The Company was incorporated as a private limited liability company in April 2008.Prior to the joint venture, Quest Healthcare Limited, provided medical diagnostic services to several public and private hospitals including Korle Bu, the Trust (SSNIT) Hospital, 37 Military Hospital, North Ridge Clinic, and other Regional Hospitals.

ISO ACCREDITATION

In Ghana, MDS – Lancet, a member of CLA, and an ISO 15189:2012 Accredited Laboratory, is a household name in healthcare, commanding a solid market position which focuses on customer centricity and quality service delivery.

We process over 2,500 patients (7,500 samples) a day from hospitals/clinics, corporate insurance, industrial and occupational health establishments.

MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited is part of Cerba Lancet Africa, a Joint Venture between Cerba Healthcare and Lancet Group of Laboratories. Cerba Lancet Africa operates a network of 170 laboratories, across 12 countries: Botswana, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. With its African network of more than 100 ISO-accredited laboratories, employing over 1,500 workers serving more than 1.7 million patients a year, Cerba Lancet Africa is now the leading force in local clinical pathology and medical diagnosis in Africa. is part of an internationally accredited pathology laboratory, the Cerba Lancet Africa Group.
